The New Deal and the Arts

New Deal jobs initiatives included programs to employ artists and writers. These programs also served a larger purpose - to give all Americans access to art and culture. Artists and writers brought theater, music, and dance to every corner of the nation and created art for government buildings and public exhibitions.
